It's Good Friday !

While significant for many things, this image depicts what I feel is the greatest result of that day--more than 2000 years ago.

I found this and thought that it is particularly appropriate for today--Good Friday.

"It is wonderful how much time good people spend fighting the devil. If they would only expend the same amount of energy loving their fellow men, the devil would die in his own tracks of ennui."  -Helen Keller

Good Friday is always a difficult day on the Christian calendar.   It is the consummate reminder of our sinful nature and the price which was paid for it.   It is a day that conjures up images of torture, suffering, and (almost merciful) death.   For Christ was crucified for you and I.

Most of my thoughts related to Good Friday are a bit controversial, so I will limited them to my blog (which until now, I've not posted on in a long time).

However, as I'm a firm believer that a picture is worth a thousand words, are a few of my favorites for Good Friday:

If you read the "Proposed Point & Click" already you know this week's Media Moment is aimed at helping us pen our correspondence--both personal and professional.   Here are a few that I have on my bookshelf and have found useful over the years.   These are in no particular order:

I find myself writing notes on a regular basis.   I do handwritten notes on personal stationary for gift or to express some other thanks.   I will jot a quick note on my business note card, and enclose it with something.   I send almost countless e-mails (Although Gmail counts, they limit you to 500 a day--found that out the hard way.)   Often times I have to send the same sort of note to different folks who work together or are in the same 'circles'.   Especially in those cases, I struggle to find different ways of saying the same thing.

Then I discovered, Write Express.   This site is aimed at selling you their product, and I'm sure its a good one.   However, they have a wealth of information available for free.   And I've found it very helpful.

I know firsthand a well crafted letter/note can make a HUGE difference in how I perceive someone and how I am perceived.

Although I can't personally 'vouch' for the Write Express product, in the Media Moment section of this week's Friday Funnies, are a few books upon which I frequently rely.
