An
atheist professor was teaching a college class at Alabama and he told
the class that he was going to prove that there is no God. He said,
"God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform.
I'll give you 15 minutes!" Ten minutes went by.
He kept taunting God, saying, "Here I am, God. I'm still waiting." He
got down to the last couple of minutes and a big 240 pound football
player in the class walked up to the professor, hit him full force in
the face, and sent him flying from his platform. The professor
struggled up, obviously shaken and yelled, "What's the matter with you?
Why did you do that?"
The football player replied, "GOD WAS BUSY; HE SENT ME!"
While working on a lesson
in world religions, a kindergarten teacher asked her students to bring
something related to their family's faith to class.
At the appropriate time she asked the students to come forward and share with the rest of the students.
The first child said, "I am Muslim and this is my prayer rug."
The second child said, "I am Jewish and this is my Star of David."
The third child said, "I am Catholic and this is my rosary."
The final child said, "I am Southern Baptist and this is my casserole dish."
A new pastor was visiting the homes of his parishioners.
At one house it seemed
obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated
knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a card and wrote "Revelation
3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was
processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been
returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, Genesis 3:10."
Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter.
Revelation 3:20 begins
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard
your voice in the garden and I was afraid, for I was naked."
